Share Point Developer – Washington DC

Natech is looking for a Share Point Developer to join our team in the Washington, DC area to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Candidates must have either of the following:

  • 9 years relevant exempt experience + relevant BS/BA or
  • 7 years relevant exempt experience + relevant MS or
  • 4 years relevant exempt experience + relevant PhD


Candidates must also have:

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related equivalent
  • 10+ years of proven software development experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining solutions using the Microsoft technology stack
  • 5+ years of experience with service-oriented, multi-tier Architecture, and implementation of scalable, high-performing ASP.NET web applications
  • 5+ years’ experience in administration and deployment of SharePoint, building and supporting all aspects of SharePoint including sites, site collections, master pages & templates, web parts, content types & policies, lists, libraries, workflows, forms authentication and security groups
  • Experience with SQL Server Reporting, Analysis and Integration Services (SSRS) and creating, deploying and maintaining SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages
  • Demonstrated experience in Power BI, InfoPath, creating custom workflows and knowledgeable of SharePoint Best Practices, SharePoint Governance, and taxonomy
  • Experience with the Suite of SQL Server Power BI Tools
  • 3+ years of combined experience with the following:
    • Excel Services
    • SQL Reporting Services (SSRS)
    • SharePoint Designer/Design Manager
    • PowerShell scripting in SharePoint
    • Visual Studio 2010-2013 as it relates to SharePoint
    • Team Foundation Server (TFS) for code versioning and solution packages
    • Remote Event Receivers, Timer Jobs, Event Handlers, Receivers
    • Search Service Application in SharePoint 2013
    • SharePoint App Model (SharePoint Hosted and Provider Hosted)
  • Experience and good knowledge of JQuery, Angular and Knockout JS
  • Extensive experience with data warehouse implementations
  • Knowledge of logical and physical data modeling concepts (relational and dimensional)
  • Performance tuning experience related to reporting queries required
  • Understanding of data integration issues (validation and cleaning), familiarity with complex data and structures
  • Strong SQL Query development skills and experience
  • Background and experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle Database
  • Strong understanding of Software development lifecycle
  • Excellent communication, documentation and presentation skills
  • Solid understanding of Agile Project Management methodologies
  • SharePoint 3013 Certification a plus
  • Experience with Business Analytics Tools specifically Tableau is a plus


Candidates must be able to perform the following duties:

  • Analyze, design, develop, implement and support of FAA’s mission critical enterprise Business Application leveraging Sharepoint 2013 and Microsoft BI capabilities
  • Develop SharePoint components (web parts, application pages, page layouts, etc.) for enterprise scale Portal and Collaboration solution
  • Aid the support and development of integration points between the SharePoint solution and external applications
  • Develop, design and manage content, customizations, forms, and custom workflow in SharePoint 2013 platform
  • Leverage the Business Intelligence capabilities in SharePoint and build dashboard reports
  • Follow SharePoint Best Practices in content management and taxonomy
  • Provide expert advice in the implementation of SharePoint architecture and solutions Assist in developing and executing SharePoint architectural roadmap and system strategy
  • Establish and administer SharePoint governance plan
  • Participate in business analysis activities to gather required reporting and dashboard requirements
  • Translate business requirements into specifications that will be used to implement the required reports and dashboards, created from potentially multiple data sources Participate with other specialist to convert legacy reports to new utilize new data sources and new BI solutions
  • Work with data analyst to assist in the development of strategic data management and reporting solutions
  • Design and specify test procedures for unit, system, and integration testing
  • Design system and program test data, debug programs using appropriate system tools and ensure system and program results are accurate to meet specifications
  • Work with agile development team on release planning, sprint planning, scoping, and engaging with customers
  • Provide daily customer and production support including production issues, enhancements, maintenance and training
  • Provide customer support of SharePoint and third-party solutions built on the SharePoint platform
  • Assist, coach and mentor other Software Developer
